Kathy Newman has been an artist since she was in elementary school and a photographer since she was in high school. In the past ten years, she has found a way to join those disciplines together and create beautiful imagery. She is always pursuing new ideas and techniques, both in-camera and Photoshop to achieve the ideas she imagines. A few years ago she began her own photography business, selling fine art pieces and commissioned portrait work. She lives in the Antelope Valley with her family and enjoys photographing the desert landscapes by which she is surrounded. She loves all genres of photography, but especially enjoys portrait work and the connection with her subjects. Another one of her passions is photography education, and she loves being able to share what she has learned on an individual basis as well as with her photography club, where she has spoken several times regarding photography techniques and post-processing skills.

She joined Lancaster Photography Association in 2013, served as Secretary for one year, and is now in her second year as President. She has entered the Antelope Valley Fair Photography Exhibition for 5 years and has had several Best of Division, Judges Choice and Sweepstakes awards. She will be co-chair for the exhibition in 2019. She is also a member of S4C, PSA and PPA, and enjoys entering their competitions as well.

She is available to book photography sessions for contemporary women's portraiture, creative portraits, personal branding, family, engagement, senior, newborn, and even weddings (I love weddings!), both in the Antelope Valley and beyond. She will work with you to preserve your memories and create the images you will cherish for a lifetime.
